WATSON FIRES BACK:

http://www.knoxpages.com/?NewsID=7530&CatID=1

Here is the information from the treasure of the Mount Vernon City School District (from the calendar that was mailed out to everyone):

I also saw this on the MVSD calendar and cringed.

Had this report been received by my division (Finance)
in the Ohio Department of Education, it would have
been sent back with a "try again."

           Why?

The reported expense categories are complete. That's
fine.  But, the reported income categories are missing
a big one - a huge revenue source for all school districts
in Ohio - Federal Revenue.  It also omits the
           MVSD rainy day fund.

These are huge omissions...... how convenient.......
           how disreputable.

Yes.   Many a truth said in jest.   And stated, delivering
the clear sadness, in a way that only our Gulagg can.

You're right.  Those omissions allowed a couple of people to create false representations about the school budget and they then ran an entire campaign based on their misinformation.

What a mess a few omitted lines have created for our schools.

Yes.    And, from my perspective, highly suspect.

:ranger:      From MVOhio Front Page News:

Barone finishes ahead of Thompson in final count

        By ADAM TAYLOR
        KnoxPages Managing Editor

MOUNT VERNON – The outcome of two City Council races
and a race for two seats on the Mount Vernon City School
Board were unchanged once final votes were certified on
Monday by the Knox County Board of Elections.

Actual figures did, however, put candidate Paula Barone
30 points (votes) ahead of Steve Thompson
in the race
        for school board.

Unofficial numbers had shown Barone behind Thompson
by one vote as they defeated three other candidates
        to win their seats.

Barone and Thompson won their seats with 3,542
        and 3,512 votes, respectively.

I think Attorney Pullins may be a good attorney for Kirk in this particular situation.....

If I'm not mistaken, he has a background in politics (lobbying, in particular), so I would think he would know election law (and how to get around it) inside and out....
Sometimes MVOhio feels like a group therapy session being held in the middle of a 3-ring circus.

It's funny that he hasn't been identified as representing Kirk.  It doesn't include his name in the MTV News article in today's paper.  Wonder if he just decided to speak out for Kirk?

Oh it would be unlike Scotty to try and capitalize on something when he's being looked at by a disciplinary council.  I mean it would only further distract everyone from his problems.

That's because I had the jump on them on this article and they were scrambling to put it together this morning, as I've been told.

Scott Pullins sent me an e-mail last night informing me he was Kirk's attorney and attached a PDF of his Notice of Appearance. I made sure I ran a follow up today. Since I was a day ahead of the paper, that's why you got the initial article yesterday and the follow up today.

If you want to know what the story will be on any given day in the Mount Vernon News, just look at what Adam wrote two days or so before.
I come in peace to warn you earthlings of imminent disasters.
