Get ya a piece of Super Bowl history

Buy a piece of Super Bowl history
OK, so maybe you couldn’t make it to Miami for the Super Bowl. But you can have a piece of the action.

A group called Stadium Associates has signed a licensing agreement with the NFL to sell the actual sod from Super Bowl XLIV. When the game ends, sections of the field will be divided into 3X3 inch squares and put on sale.

There will be 50,000 pieces of the Super Bowl logo (midfield), 75,000 pieces of the end zones and up to 144 pieces on which the game’s “Special Moments” took place. If, say, Will Smith sacks Peyton Manning, the spot where they hit the ground could be yours. If Gary Brackett falls on a Reggie Bush fumble, you can own that piece of turf.

Once the sod is sectioned, it will be freeze-dried and sealed in a glass case. Orders for the midfield logo and both end zones are now being accepted. Fans who order those sections prior to kickoff get first crack at the “Special Moments” collection.

I'd rather slam my nose in a car door. I'd rather have a proctologist named Dr. Hook. I would rather watch Roseanne Barr do a striptease than give up my MVOhio.
