Police arrest break-in suspect
MOUNT VERNON - Police believe they have caught the man responsible for several vehicle break-ins over the past several weeks and the burglary of at least one business.

Ronald Hoeflich Jr., 30, was arrested Thursday night after he was observed near the area of a vehicle break-in near East Pleasant and North Gay streets, according to a news release from the Mount Vernon Police Department. Hoeflich allegedly ran several blocks before he was apprehended by Sgt. Troy Glazier and Patrolman Rex Young.

Hoeflich has been charged with obstructing official business, criminal trespass, criminal damaging and possession of criminal tools. He is currently in the Knox County Jail.

apparently us stupid knox countians who "set" behind our computers all day are not allowed to comment on this article. That is what started this craziness. This person who (allegedly) ran from the cops and was (allegedly) in possession of criminal tools is innocent and sitting next to ahinger at some house on Catherine St.

 Now granted I have seen charges for this that were no more than a hammer?? but still I am hoping LE has much more since they arrested him....running granted too does NOT make one guilty..but it sure tends to make LE think you are hiding something..
