   Never heard of them, just thought it was interesting they want $$$ even after admitting they are taking grant money.

It's been a busy year for Congress -- and for us.

From health care reform to financial reform to unemployment benefits, OpenCongress is busier than ever, bringing you the real story behind what's happening in Congress.

It's been a huge success. Over the past three years, OpenCongress has grown to become the most-visited government transparency website in the United States, and maybe the world. But it's also been a challenge to meet the huge public need for information about bills in the news -- for example, our massive database of government data costs thousands of dollars per month in web hosting costs.

As our community has grown, we've held OpenCongress together with grants from our terrific founding supporter, the Sunlight Foundation, and volunteers... but we've reached the limit of what we can do.

We need your support to keep OpenCongress alive.
