All of the teams representing the 8 US regions for the 13 Yr old World Series have been determined:

Manchester, New Hampshire - New England Regional Champion
College Point, New York - Middle Atlantic Regional Champion (This just changed on the website. Not sure why the change.)
Mount Vernon, Ohio - Ohio Valley Regional Champion
Tallahassee, Florida - Southeast Regional Champion
East Twins, Minnesota - Midwest Plains Regional Champion
Kenner, Louisiana - Southwest Regional Champion
East Boise, Idaho - Pacific Northwest Regional Champion
Torrance, California - Pacific Southwest Regional Champion
Plainview, Texas - Western Texas State Champion
Levelland, Texas - Host

I'll wait for the actual tournament.

I've seen enough upsets in my life to make it interesting! It is interesting to note the powerhouse states in sports seem to be well represented in this tournament. I'll definitely post the scores from any of the games that I learn the outcome for.

I played for the IGA in Mt. Vernon Babe Ruth. I guess it was around 1978-1980 time frame. I was a pitcher and I still pay the price with a sore arm when I shift alittle while holding the world on my shoulders but it was worth every bit of the effort. Christ, 30 years sure did fly by fast.

AB, we'll get the crafting MVOhio'rs to make you an outfit, one half will be orange/black and the other half will have the Tallahassee colors. That way you can cheer for both at the same time and no matter who wins, you will have supported them!

Better yet, hopefully Tallahassee gets knocked out of the tournament before they make it to the final playoff brackets (ok, I can dream, can't I???!!)

Today's newspaper had an open letter to Mount Vernon regarding this 13 Yr old team. It was written by a man from Logansport, Rick Conrad, who covered the story for the MTV news.

I agree SDB....Those boys and parents represented Mount Vernon well. I wish them the best of luck in Texas!! Have been watching the Little League World Series (12 yr olds) every day on TV. Ohio plays tonight at 5pm.
