Yep, we saw that!  It was an intense game and then they broke it open in the 6th.  Good luck to Hamilton, OH at Williamsport!

MTV won their 1st game against the West Texas State Champions with a run rule in 5 innings.  Arkie pitched today's game.  Started off with a run in the 1st inning and a run in the second inning and then broke the bats out, scoring 6 more runs in the 3rd inning, 6 runs in the 4th and the final run to run rule in the 5th.

Tallahassee lost their game today against College Park, NY 12 - 9 (I believe that was the final score).  The game went back and forth.

MTV faces Torrance CA in their next game on Saturday.

MTV lost today's game to Torrance 9-3.  The team started off slow and we got behind 5-1 in the 1st inning.   Torrance scored 2 in the 2nd and 2 in the 3rd before our pitching shut them down in the 4th, 5th, 6th & 7th innings.  We stranded batters on base a couple of innings but did get 2 runs in the 6th. 

Torrance had 10 hits, MTV had 9 hits.

Our next game is tomorrow at 10:00 am tomorrow against College Point, NY.

The team lost today against College Point, NY 12-1.  Not sure what's going on but they are not playing the baseball I've seen them play the last two months.  There have been uncharacteristic errors and they seem to lack "spark".  I'm hoping they can come out tomorrow with a renewed spirit.  We're getting together with them tonight at a host parent's house and are going to do our best to bring up their spirits.  Thanks to everyone at home that is cheering for them!

 They are a GREAT team...no matter the final outcome....

But I will bet their bodies are getting really tired...so hopefully good food/ a good nights rest..and they will be good as new!!

Okay, here's the scoop for today.  AB you're going to love this!

In order to advance to the single elimination bracket, MT. Vernon has to beat Tallahassee today.  Tallahassee has 2 losses as does MT. Vernon.  So whoever wins this game tonight decides who is the 3rd team to move on to the bracket from our pool.

The boys were in better spirits last night.  Hopefully they all got a good night's sleep last night.  Our cheering section is reduced to about half because many had to return back to Ohio to go to work tomorrow.   But we still have some pretty vocal supporters here (me included) who will be keeping up the cheering from the stands.  We sent back some pictures to the MTV News so they should be in the paper today or tomorrow.

Thanks again for all the support back home.  We appreciate it!
