Topic: Verizon vs. Sprint

I've had verizon as my cell carrier for many many years and have never really had any problems with them. My contract is coming up in a few months and I'm tossing around the idea of switching to sprint just becaue the package I'm thinking about getting looks to be a bit cheaper than verizon.

So my question is has anyone ever used both at one point in time and liked one better than the other, or if you have sprint are you happy with them? or had any problems?

I have Sprint and have had it for quite a few years, I would not trade it for anything! They are fantastic! have not had any issues, etc., Customer service is available and their plans are quite reasonable!

I am the complete opposite. I had verizon, went to sprint, and couldn't stand it so went back to verizon and wouldn't change it. Plus verizon has better coverage.

I have Verizon for my personal cell and Sprint for my work cell.  Coverage area is not very good with Sprint.  A lot of times I have to use my personal cell for work calls due to no service (or dead spots) in a lot of areas. PLUS, most people I talk to have Verizon, so it is free for both of us to talk when I call their cell or when they call mine.

I have Verizon for our phones and Sprint for my company Blackberry and there are some coverage differences and holes in both, but generally the Verizon service spanks Sprint.  I've been in some VERY remote parts of Ohio, West Virginia, Virginia, North Carolina, and still had service where Sprint had none for miles.  Most impressive was some remote campground in the mountains of WVA, pulled in and found out that I had faster wireless broadband than I did in the Knox County area. 

No iPhone, no device could woo me away from Verizon.

We have sprint as our company phone and verizon as personal.  Yes verizon has better coverage, but I too am ready to probably hit the road.  Verizon knows they have better coverage and they are taking advantage of that and "forcing" you to take on data packages.  Some people may not mind paying 30 xtra bucks a month for a data package, but I think it is nuts...I do not want to surf the web on a 2x2 screen.  So either you get a crappy phone without a qwerty keyboard for texting, and it has a crappy camera, or you get a decent phone and either have to pay 10 or 30 extra bucks a month just to have a decent phone.  We have 5 phones on our plan our bill is already a little over 160 a month...no way am I paying an extra 10 or 30 a month just to have a decent camera/keyboard.  I bought the envy 3 before it was in a forced data package. Now if you buy it it will cost you an extra 10 a month just to have it and trust me the screen is no where big enough to be surfing the net.

Sprint will you give you 30 days if you don't like their service you can take it back.

Everyone is going to dataplans, short of TracPhones and the cheaper not QWERTY keyboards, its not just Verizon but a trend across the board as the numbers from Facebook and Twitter people continue to rise. 

(2) Android phones with full data packages for us and a 700 minute plan is just under 150, is it a lot, well we're connected and do anything that we want to.  Wifi/data for my computers, navigation, web, maps, Facebook, about anything that I want all in a small device. 

Is it for everyone..nope, I realize that.

They change constantly.  Coverage changes as well as strength of signal.  A new battery in your phone can double your connectivity.

The real question is, what the hell is there to talk about and do you need a phone?  I am finding that most people have nothing to say that is worth hearing so I prefer they send me an email.  I am using my phone maybe 20 minutes a week at most...and that is sprint to sprint, I don't talk to verizon users as they are mostly socialists.
