For those who may be interested, John Freshwater will be on Open Debate on 1300 tomorrow.  Am not sure if he will only be on for a certain amount of time or if it will be the whole show (was baking and not quite listening attentively).

I do and I know and I'm not discussing this anymore.   It was edited and any and all edits are done with all caution and with due consideration as much as a human can give it.  No one is singled out,  when it falls under the very loosely guidelines we have been following, it just gets done.  The Freshwater thread happens to enjoy the privilege of maintaining it in the General Section.  So it is more closely guarded to keep it out there.  Else it probably would have been moved to BDR several pages ago.   

We loosely mod as much as possible and and still can't make everyone happy.   I will split this into another thread so if everyone wants to continue with this conversation, it's in the lounge.  If any further remarks off topic, that are made in the Freshwater thread, they too will be mod'd. 

Sorry if this offends anyone, but that's my job, I guess.  As someone told me, I'm such a 'bitch'.

I'm the editing this one.  As everyone knows, I hate censorship, but everything topic has it's place.  There is a knock off thread of the same subject matter in the lounge that one can sound off on.  Let's keep this thread on topic and in the General Section

I don't think many people will be buying many trees after Christmas from the Freshwater Tree Farm or buy the quoted by God t-shirts.


This is probably the third or fourth radio appearance by Freshwater isn't it? 


The not wanting to take questions thing is probably a lesson learned from the one time Freshwater appeared and admitted to touching a child with the device. Cowardly and very slanted, but safer than sorry!

I know of at least twice he's been on there, but I don't listen every day either.  And your right, Dave is so gungho for freshwater, it's kind of sad.  I realize it's his show and he can do as he likes, but in the question of fairness, he should let it be an actual topic, not a commercial.

 There is a time that is right to NOT TAKE QUESTIONS...I have been a guest speaker on our local radio several times...to discuss different subjects...sometimes I took questions...some times not....

 If you have ever dealt with LIVE RADIO...you know there are those that just call in to ask a question to cause an issue....not really wanting the answer..but playing power games with the air ways..
 
 John wants to address what HE wants out there...the station has given him air time...he can do the program the way the station and him agree.....

 
This time not a right....but a choice he is making...and the radio station is supporting his wanting to use the air ways....as they do many other people and projects.

MOUNT VERNON — Rick Warren, a Kenyon College soccer coach, testified this morning in the termination hearing of John Freshwater.

According to Mount Vernon News reporter Pam Schehl, Warren stated an e-mail entered into evidence by the Mount Vernon Board of Education was not the same as Warren recalls it.

The e-mail, according to Schehl, involved an invitation for Warren to speak at a Fellowship of Christian Athletes meeting.
